Premium Composite Solutions

WPC decking boards built for projects that have to last

Upgrade your outdoor projects with Structa Deck’s premium Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) decking. Combining the natural beauty of wood with the extreme durability of high-density polymers, our decking is engineered to withstand the harshest environments without rotting, fading, or splintering.

Deep Wood Grain Texture: Authentic, non-slip 3D wood grain surface that looks and feels like real timber.

Advanced Hollow Core: The hollow structure reduces weight while maintaining exceptional load-bearing strength.

Ultra Weather Resistance: 100% waterproof, UV-stabilized, and highly resistant to moisture, mold, and termites.

Low Maintenance: Never requires sanding, staining, or painting. Simply wash with soap and water.

Eco-Friendly Material: Manufactured using 95% recycled wood fibers and plastics, fully FSC & CE certified.

SPECIFYING A COMPOSITE DECK

Two decisions decide the board

Composite decking gets sold on adjectives, but a quote only needs two answers: what is inside the board, and what is on top of it. Color, texture and length are chosen after those two. Settle them in that order and the price stops being a surprise.

1. The core

Core

Structure

What it gives you

Specified for

Solid

No voids at all

Heaviest and stiffest board, and the most material per meter. Takes the hardest traffic and the widest joist spacing.

Commercial decks, boardwalks, anywhere span or footfall is the constraint

Round hole

Circular voids through the length

The lightest and least expensive option. Plenty of board for a domestic deck on normal joist centers.

Residential patios, balconies, garden decks

Square hole

Square voids with thicker webs

More material in the webs than a round-hole board, so it holds its shape better for the weight it saves.

The middle option when round hole feels light but solid is over-specified

2. The surface

Surface

Specified for

Standard

Composite surface, no cap

The composite itself is the wear surface. It weathers to a slightly lighter, more uniform tone over the first months outdoors, then settles.

Budget-led projects, and decks where a weathered tone is wanted

Co-extruded

Bonded polymer cap over the core

A separate outer layer fused to the board during extrusion. It holds color far longer and resists scratching and staining in a way bare composite does not.

Hospitality, retail frontage, any deck that must look new in year five

Boards run 2000 x 140 mm as standard, with thickness varying by profile. Length, color and packaging are customizable on OEM and ODM orders. Minimum order is 200 square meters, shipping from Qingdao or Shanghai on a 10 to 25 day lead time.

Application scenarios

WHERE THESE BOARDS GO DOWN

Application scenarios

The same board is not right everywhere. These are the jobs composite decking gets specified for most often, and what changes between them.

Residential patios and gardens

The volume case. A round-hole board on standard joist centers, chosen on color and texture rather than load, with no annual staining to schedule.

Hotel and resort pool decks

Constant wet feet, sun cream and chlorine. A co-extruded surface earns its cost here, because staining is what makes a pool deck look tired long before it wears out.

Balconies and terraces

Weight and build-up height are the constraints. Hollow profiles keep the dead load down, and the deck can be lifted for inspection of the slab beneath.

Boardwalks and public walkways

Solid boards, wider joist spacing and a grooved surface for grip. Specify for the footfall, not the appearance, then choose the color.

Rooftop terraces

No fixings into the waterproofing. Boards sit on a crossbeam frame or pedestals over the membrane, with the fall underneath left clear to drain.

Restaurant and retail frontage

Seen up close every day, replaced on a lease cycle rather than a wear cycle. Co-extruded surface, edge banding on the exposed ends, color matched to the brand.

QUICK ANSWERS

WPC decking FAQ

How long does WPC decking last?

Longer than a timber deck, and the honest answer is a range rather than a number because it depends on the board and the exposure. A co-extruded board on a sheltered terrace and a standard board on a south-facing roof are not the same lifespan. Ask for the warranty terms with your quote, because that is the figure the factory will actually stand behind.

Does the color fade?

A standard composite board lightens over the first months outdoors and then settles at a more uniform tone. A co-extruded board holds its color far longer, because the color sits in a bonded polymer cap rather than in the surface of the composite. If the deck has to match a brand color in year five, specify co-extruded.

Does composite decking get hot underfoot?

Any dark surface in direct sun gets hot, and composite is no exception. Lighter colors run cooler than dark ones, which matters around a pool where people are barefoot. If the deck is in full sun and will be walked on without shoes, choose from the lighter end of the range.

Is it slippery when wet?

The surface texture is what decides this. Grooved and brushed finishes give more grip than a smooth one, which is why they are the usual choice around pools and on ramps. If slip performance has to be evidenced for a commercial project, ask us for the current test data before you specify.

What goes underneath it?

A level, draining subframe. We supply crossbeam joists sized for these boards, and the spacing depends on the profile you choose, with solid boards spanning further than hollow ones. Tell us the profile and the loading and we will confirm the centers rather than leaving you to guess.

Can it be laid over an existing deck or concrete?

Over concrete, yes, on a crossbeam frame or pedestals that keep the boards clear and let water run away underneath. Over an existing timber deck, only if the frame beneath it is sound, because composite will not rescue a failing subframe. Send us photographs and the build-up and we will tell you plainly.

How is it priced, and what is the minimum order?

By linear meter or square meter, with the final figure depending on profile, surface finish, material formula and quantity. Volume pricing applies at larger tonnages and quotes are itemized. Minimum order is 200 square meters, and you can mix this product with other lines in one container.
